Dr. Schaefer and Katie,
Thank you for taking good care of me again and fitting me into your busy schedules at short notice! I consider this a speed bump in life and not another pothole – I appreciate your care!
Have a relaxing thanksgiving.
Two years ago today I had my mastectomy and started reconstruction. I’m now cancer free 2 years and feeling great – thanks to you and the rest of my medical team. I hope your wife continues to be well and that you and your family have a blessed Christmas.
We just wanted to thank you for being such a great surgeon for us last week. You did an excellent job and we look forward to our follow-up visits. We appreciated your professionalism and awesome bedside manners and all the time you spent with us.
Thank you very much Dr. Schaefer! They look great and I feel great.
Once again I/we get the opportunity to thank you for your skills, understanding and professionalism! It is healing to be able to trust in someone with one’s health
You are unbelievable! Thank you for everything!
Dear Dr. Schaefer,
Thank you once again! You are the best doctor I ever had.
Special thanks and appreciation to you for the difference you have made in my life this past year. Thank you for your kindness and expertise!
Dear Dr. Schaefer,
Thank you seems so very inadequate for what you have done for me. Your skills as a surgeon goes without saying but as human being, I have found you to be Mary Poppins like “Practically Perfect” One day in February you took the time to find out what was going on emotionally with me. Many physicians would have skated right past that.
If you ever have days where you are discouraged or bored or wonder if you make a difference, you do. You gave me the gift of caring, respect and time. What a blessing that it lined up for me to have you as a Plastic Surgeon. May God bless you, your practice and your family.
Dear Dr. Schaefer,
From the shock of finding out what I had to face through reconstruction, I was ever-grateful to be in your care. Thank you so much for making the process a matter-of-fact reality. Thank you for doing such a great job making me feel like myself gain. I am amazed and very pleased.
Dear Dr. Schaefer,
Thank you so much for the great care and compassion you’ve shown me as I’ve embarked on this reconstruction journey following my mastectomy I am blessed to be under your care.
I know you aren’t done with me yet but I want to thank you for what you have done so far. Your skills, combined with respect and caring, have made an emotional and painful experience tolerable. I feel blessed that you are my Plastic Surgeon. Words are not enough but they are all I have, so thank you. With a thankful heart,
PS. Today your handwork was admired by my Gyn. She was impressed.
When I was diagnosed with cancer five months ago, I tried to face each step as positively as I could. I knew I needed to trust the people being brought into my life. You may not remember, but one day you “reminded” me to trust you, you would not make me do anything I did not want to do, so I did. There are no words that can adequately express my gratitude for the sensitive, professional care you provided. I will continue to heal (and tape) and see you in three months. Take Care.
With sincere appreciation,
It is difficult to put into words, but you have created a distance between ME and CANCER that I have not felt until now. I will always be grateful!
Thank you for being so good at what you do.
Dear Amber and Dr. Schaefer,
It is a special part of this wonderful season to take a moment to send my warmest wishes for a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your families!
You have both helped to make my 2011 a very good year – I am so very appreciative of your professional talents and your caring attitudes.
The card enclosed is a picture of our four grandchildren – all special treasures in their own way. I hope this Christmas season will bring as much joy to you and your families as we will have in celebrating with our four very special young people!
I hope this wonderful season finds you and your families healthy, happy and blessed with time to share with loved ones.
Wishing you joy, peace and laughter in 2012!
Dear Dr. Schaefer and Staff,
Thank you for all of your help and support this year. You are a great medical team and I feel lucky to have had your help. Wishing all of you the best this holiday season and in the coming year.
Dr. Schaefer and Crew,
Thanks for all the superb care and support in my breast cancer adventure.
Dear Doctor Tim,
I am so grateful for all your kind and caring work you for me. I feel blessed to have you as my Doctor and will miss you very much.
Thank you so much for your gentle and funny times we’ve had together.
You are the best,
Dear Dr Schaefer, Amber & Staff,
Here I am in Texas for a week standing at the water & relaxing. It is providing a great opportunity to do a lot of reading on breast cancer & to reflect on my last two months. My constant thought continues to be how much I appreciate the medical team I have supporting me. A simple thing that I so appreciated, Dr. Schaefer, came from you at the close of my appointment the day before surgery. You squeezed my shoulders and said, “We’ll take good care of you!” What a reassurance one that I have truly felt. Your staff continues to be kind and caring, thorough & professional. Many around me commend me for my positive spirit. I know that part of that may be my nature. However, a larger part of that comes from the confidence I feel from just the short time I’ve been in your care. It gives me confidence to face the future.
Thanks so much.
Oh, Dr Schaefer,
Once again I am so thankful that God brought you to be my plastic surgeon. Not sure you could tell how afraid I was when I came in this week, but you gave me peace about it. You didn’t make me feel stupid about coming in. Before coming in, I was thinking I would be calling my kids and telling them to get cracking on their weddings because I wasn’t going to be around. THANK YOU!
Never change who you are or what you do because you are simply the best!
Thank you so very much for being part of the expert, “Loving Yourself” breast cancer awareness went we received very positive feedback from women attending and I value your significant contribution to Ridgeview.
Thank you again for sharing your expertise with women in Waconia
I just wanted to say thank you for your kindness and support as I’ve dealt with this frustrating leg issue. It helps so much to know there is someone I can call when things get scary and complicated and I don’t know what to do. You have helped me more than you could possibly know. It’s a small gesture in comparison to what you have done for me, but I hope you and Katie can enjoy a night out together soon.
Thanks again, Tim
Thank you so much for your exceptional care before, during (don’t remember but I’m sure) and after my surgery.
I so appreciated your attention to detail and remarkable work.
Thanks for everything!
Thank you so much for your gentle touch and caring hand during my surgery! I appreciate your sincere desire to make this process as pleasant as possible!
Because of you we are able to have a very happy Christmas. I remember you every evening in prayer.
The scars have faded quite well and the redness is gone.
See you again in August
Thank you for ALL you work on me. You made me feel whole again.
Dr Schaefer, Amber and Debbie,
I want to thank all of you for your care for me this past year. I appreciate your talent and your compassion. May you each have a lovely holiday season and many blessings in the New Year.
Thank you for being so wonderful to my mother! You made a difference in her world!
Dr. Schaefer M.D, & Staff,
Thank you for helping me get through this. Dr Schaefer I am glad you are one of my doctors, you are kind and reassuring. And I am happy with the work so far, I know we’re not done yet! But much love
I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for being so kind, caring and compassionate towards my mother during her entire journey with breast cancer. She lost her battle August 3, 2013.
From the beginning of her journey at Abbott, she felt your passion and she trusted you would be dedicated to do your part to make her feel better.
She appreciated the fact that you always made yourself available to her when she needed you! Even five years later she was touched by your intensity and compassion. She truly believed you cared for her, as a person, not just as a patient.
You did so much more for her than just make her look and feel “whole” again. You listened to her, comforted her and helped her find pathways to reach positive avenues for her concerns.
You were her favorite doctor in her very difficult journey. When she felt no one would listen or that no one cared, she called your office and when she didn’t feel calling you was appropriate, she would tell me she wished the doctor she was working with was more like Dr. Schaefer!
She appreciated that she always felt like she was “heard” by you. She also appreciate your direct and honest answers.
I am very grateful that she had you in her journey! I appreciated all the positive things you gave her emotionally, cosmetically, professionally, and personally. Thank you!
…with a little “Hi” and a Thank You for a Great DNS Visit. I enjoyed meeting you and your staff. Thank you for being there.
Dear Dr. Schaefer,
I just wanted to send a thank you for all the hard work you did. I know it would not be possible to have my finger right now if it wasn’t for you. I use it (well sorta) every day. I look back at the situation and know you took a big leap for me which I don’t think I can thank you enough. I know there were plenty of other doctor’s asked and couldn’t do it but you stepped up to the challenge and helped me. Thanks for all the work after the surgery as well and just being kind and worried every time I came in. For the tips on how to keep it warm and how to make sure I keep the finger forever. I sent you this collage of before, during and after picture to show I’m so grateful for the hard work you put in to saving my finger. Like I said before I don’t think I could ever show you the amount of gratitude I have towards you but thank you again,
Dear Friends at Midwest Plastic Surgery

Dear Dr. Schaefer,
I am grateful for you (Lori and staff) and what you have done and will do for me. In this Thanksgiving season, may you know God’s bountiful blessings.
Dear Dr Schaefer, Lori, Nicole and Staff,
Thank you so much for your excellent care and guidance over the last few months. While no one expects to get breast cancer, you made dealing with it and the treatment process less worrisome.
Thanks for your wonderful care and for putting my mind at ease. Happy Holidays and thanks for putting this patient (and her concerns first!)
I’ve referred to you in much the same way as my experience with the Mayo Clinic. I feel safe, cared for; I’m in the hands of a true professional.
You have a friendly, approachable bedside manner that has put me, my girlfriends and husband at ease.
Like I told you… I don’t see cancer anymore and that means the world to me.
Thank you for all you have done for me – Happy 2015!
Thank you so much for the care you have given me. This has been a tough experience to go through. I would recommend you to anyone who has to go through this. I know I have one more surgery to go before I am done. Thanks for easing my fears, and always answering my questions.
You’re the best.
Dear Dr. Schaefer and Abbot Staff,
I just wanted to thank you Dr. Schaefer and the wonderful caring individuals that took such good care of me. They made me so comfortable and were so gentle and nice. Please thank them all for me.
The girls are doing good!
I am feeling great and happy with my results – so glad to have this behind me.
Thank you for everything.
Thank you doing my surgery. I failed to tell you that I have a horrible anxiety disorder and it got the best of me that day. Please do not think I was second guessing your expertise. You did a very good job from what I see very good job.
Thank you for having patience with me.
Thank you so much.
Dr. Schaefer, Lori, Sara and Staff:
I want to thank you for kind, personal and patient centre case. You all took the time to listen, discuss and help. I will be quick to refer others to you, if the opportunity presents itself.
